Day off for daddy!

Daddy's back is killing is that he stayed home from work today - well he went into Indiana for just about an hour for an interview but then we lazed around all day!!! It was yucky and gray (and cold) and the kids couldn't go out at all!! I scrapped most of the day and the kids played with T and watched TV most of the day! I grilled hot dogs for lunch and daddy grilled burgers for dinner and it was a pretty great day!!! The boys went to bed around 9PM and T and I soon followed! Me reading and him watching TV on his iPad!!

So cold today!

It finally stopped raining but the sun was still hiding and it was COLD!!! I did got outside for a bit and fix CJ's training wheels, then the boys rode their bikes for a bit! We facetimed with daddy for a bit, he went down to his parents to wash clothes and so we got to talk to him lots! He didn't have to go into work till like 2PM!! The kids and I just hung out most of the day not doing to much! Just as I was getting dinner ready Gman comes rushing in the house with blood just running from his hand! I got out of him that he ran his fingers across the metal slat part on the back of the air conditioners and it sliced his middle finger just to ribbons!!

I finally got it to stop bleeding and got some bandaids on it! I was thinking of taking the kids to the drive in, but that caused me to rethink that plan!! Which was a good thing the kids were exhausted and kind of cranky!! It was bed time at 9PM!!!

Today it freaking snowed!!!

Woke up this morning to the sound of the snow plow!! WTF, it's like almost April!!! 

There was like 1/4 of an inch on the ground and it was so so so cold!! Ugh, I am so tired of freaking winter!!! Well we got the girl's lunches packed and breakfast made and then I headed back to bed, T didn't because he has some paper work to do - BOO!! Then the alarm went off at 7:30AM and T was already feeding the boys - he had to leave early to meet his boss at his J-town store so once he was done with breakfast he left! I got the boys hustled through the rest of the morning routine and then on the bus!! I messed around a bit and then at 9:30AM CJ and I left for the Sesame Street Show at the KCAC!! We got there and had to pay $5 bucks to park, walk like 1/4 mile to the center in the freezing and blowing wind - it was crappy!! But then Amy and Chrissy showed up and we headed into our seats!! We had like 20 minutes to kill before the show started so we got some cotton candy! The show was really great and CJ LOVED it!!! He was super good and sat there the whole time and watched it! I ended up buying him some Elmo binoculars for $12 bucks!! Eek!! The show was done at about 12:10PM and then we headed to McDonald's for lunch!!

We ate and then came home! I worked on project life some and got my photos edited and printed! Then the kids started coming home and we got snacks. T texted and said he was leaving at 4:30PM and would be home to cook the burgers, so I made sure I got the tater tots in the oven! Then once he was home and cooking the kids and I cleaned up the living room and I swept!! Once we had dinner, it was 6:40PM and we just started showers! That took us till 7:30PM and while that was going on I folded clothes and put them away! Then at 7:30 we gave the boys a baggie of fruit snacks and then it was off to bed! Now I'm writing this while daddy is in the bedroom trying to get rid of a head ache and I'm gonna post this and hit the hay myself!!!

Negative numbers....AGAIN!!!

Hmmm, pretty sure today started out normal, T was actually here this morning so I wasn't on my own! 

It was a cold one (below zero with the wind chill) and I was was hoping for a 2 hour delay - but no such lunch!!! I had packed the girls entire lunch the night before so all I had to do was slap it in their lunch boxes and I was back in bed!! Same with the boy's for the second shift - well I had to heat their mac & cheese and their thermoes but that was it!! T cleaned up the kitchen for me too before he left!! Then I dropped CJ off at school and came home and screwed around on Youtube for 2 hours!!! Then back to pick him up where he told me he again cried at school - but only once! Sheesh - who knows whats up with that boy!! I was spying on him a little and I notice that his teacher was kind of "snippish" with him (and I noticed that too at the dance fieldtrip) and I wondered if that was the problem - so I asked him if he still liked her and he said yes and I asked if she was still nice and he said yes - so who knows!?!?! We came home and just had sanwiches and then I climbed in bed and took an awesome nap and I stayed their till daddy came home at 5PM!!! Then he made spaghetti and meatballs for dinner and even put the boys to bed for me!!! 

Well hello Monday....we met again!

Boo!! I seriously did not want to get out of bed - it's still so cold and so snowy and all I want to do is snuggle in my bed!! But up I got and T got the girl's fed and I packed their lunches and then we both headed back to bed! But T couldn't sleep too long because he had to be out the door by 7:30AM for a doctor's appointment - so when my alarm went off at 7:30 it was just me and the boys!! I got them oatmeal for breakfast and then I just tried to keep them moving through the morning while I packed lunches! I got them on the bus and then I climbed back in my bed and read till I had to leave the house at 1! CJ was a good boy and watched TV, played and played his DS. Then after lunch we headed out to EP because I was helping with the book swap! It was so boring!! I think it's just cause I'm in a grumpy mood so the adults/teachers and the kids were getting on my nerves!! It was so hot in the room and my feet were hurting. CJ brought a DS that went dead in like 5 minutes so he whined the whole time. Finally we were done at 3:30PM and Jenn and I busted ass to get the books cleaned up and down to the library!! Then I headed to McDonald's for a frappe (cause boy I needed it)!!! Then it was home to help Gman with homework! He had to color a picture of his favorite food, he did his two weekly alpha sheets and then we did his sight word flash cards. Then I went in my room to read some more before making dinner - I had actually put a roast in the crockpot at noon so all I did was make some buttered noodles and some canned green beans! There wasn't much complaining - HOORAY!!! Then daddy came home about 6:30PM and we started getting kids showered as we sat in our room folding clothes!! We got EVERYONE in bed at 8PM and then I climbed in bed and read for a bit but I was whooped so it was soon off to dream land for me!!

TGIF!!

Daddy was gone this morning when the alarm went off (he had to be with Mike this morning) so I was by myself and I was miserable because it's negative freaking 4 out!! Boo!!! 

Then it was time to get the boys up and I got them fed and their lunches packed and got them out the door! Then CJ and I just hung out and were totally lazy!! Then he was crying and whining because he needed to poop but couldn't/wouldn't and it was a nightmare!!! Tim had to work late tonight because he had to work prime in Lower Burrell with Mike - so that was crappy too!! 

Cold as a ...........

Brrr, a seriously cold morning - pretty sure it was in the negatives when we woke up. I even checked for a delay before I woke the girls up, but no such luck!! We got the girls fed and their lunches packed and then T and I both actually stayed up - him doing some stuff for work and me messing on the computer - my ACDSee has been acting up and I'm about to punch it in it's virtual junk!!! Then the boys got up and we got them fed and dressed and lunches made and then T needed to leave at about 8AM, so I got the boys on the bus myself and then drove into town to drop CJ off! I came home and sat in front of my computer and worked on gathering and editing photos the whole 2 hours! Ran back into town and picked CJ up and we came home and I made him two egg sandwiches for lunch! Hahaha!! Then the rest of the day I worked on laundry and photos! When I went out at 4PM to get the boys off the bus it was so terrible out - wind blowing, snow swirling - terrible! Then we came in and I had S make dinner -homemade pizza- while I got a shower and got ready to go. Little man, Gman and I have the mother/son banquet at school tonight and we have to be there at 6PM. It was OK, the food was good but it really wasn't a enough for $10 bucks - just like a 2 inch chunk of sub, pasta salad and macaroni salad. The entertainment was ok too, lots of animals but it was kind of chaotic because it was just like 2 ladies. It was over at 7:50PM and we came home and rushed them through showers and into bed! Then T and I sat down and ate ravioli and now we are both in our room and both on our computers! But I'm closing mine soon and then I'm gonna read till I fall asleep!! Which I'm hoping is real quick!!

No school today for the kiddos!!!

It's president's day but that's not why we don't have school - it's parent/teacher conference day and for the first time in my kid's school history I opted out of doing conferences today!!! But that didn't mean I got to sleep in, C is still like seriously sick and it was time for to take him to the doctors!!! So I loaded him and Gman in the van and headed out the door - man was it freaking COLD!!! Like -7!!!

So we got there and got right in to see the nurse practitioner (I think) and the gave C a strep test and a flu test - man he did not like the flu test (swab up the nose), he cried and cried and cried!!! One good thing is that his lungs are CLEAR!!! So we had to wait around a bit for the tests to come back - the strep test was negative and the flu test was POSITIVE!!! So we just have to ride it out and lots of liquids and lots of rest!! After the doctors we ran to Wal Mart real quick to get some more supplies and then we headed home, C and I literally spent the rest of the whole day in bed!!! S (bless her heart) made lunch and dinner for the rest of the kids! Daddy got home at about 7:30PM and we got the boys showered and then he got them into bed! I read for a while and then it was off to dream land for me - I was not feeling like 100%!!!

Snow day!!!

It was so nice just laying around this morning and not rushing!! I think I was in bed till like 8:30AM! I figured it would be another lazy day but that changed real quick when the kids started fighting!! So I called them all up stairs and we started to CLEAN!!! We cleaned the living room - I even dusted. The girls wiped down all the walls & cabinets in the kitchen. Then they wiped down the hall walls and the basement stairwell walls and cleaned the mud room. The 3 boys and I cleaned their room and S mopped the kitchen floor for me! It was so nice once it was all done!! Then I worked on laundry all day and worked on sorting some photos of S. The kids were hit and miss with the fighting!! Seemed like Little man would cause problems with both little boys! I made cowboy casserole for dinner and then it was time to get showers done. We got a call from the school district at about 7:30PM - 2 hour delay for tomorrow! Then at 8PM I put everyone to bed!! T got home at about 8:30ish or 9PM and I laid in my bed and read till I just couldn't keep my eyes open any more!!!

Saturday Fever!

It's the weekend!! Kind of stinky though because T has to work!! Boo!! He left at about 9AM and the kids I did nothing all day!! I worked on some laundry and I worked on one of my Halloween mini books, but other then that it was a whole lot of laying around and watching the snow fall outside!!! 

It was cold and windy and I didn't see one state or township truck out all day!! Daddy texted and called me through out the day to keep me posted on his travels and finally at about 6:15PM he text me that he was leaving Johnstown! He could only drive about 15 miles per hour and it took him almost 2 hours to get home!! We got the kids in bed and then he watched TV in bed while I read.

Freezing!!!

We had a 2 hour delay this morning which kind of jacked up the kids schedules since Little man and Gman had dentist appointments at 11AM, so they didn't even get on the bus to go to school at 10:30AM. We just piled in the van and headed into town!! It was so cold out, it was really miserable!!! 

We got in and only waited a little bit past 11AM, once they got back in the chairs it went quick. Both boys had awesome check ups and ZERO cavities!! We got out of there at noon and since Little man had missed lunch and I didn't pack one for Gman I took them through McDonald's drive thru and then headed to their school while they ate! Got them dropped off and then C and I came home. We both just kind of lazed around all afternoon and when the big kids came home they joined us. I made pizza for dinner and it was so good! Then there was more lazying till daddy got about 9:20PM. We put the kids to bed and then we sat down and ate the Thai food he brought home! He also brought me the 4th season of Downton Abbey and I went in my room and watched the 1st show. I wasn't into it as much as I was the other seasons so I went to bed right after that episode! 

Daddy's Day Off

Another freezing cold winter day, although today we didn't have a 2 hour delay so it was up at normal time and getting kids fed and lunches packed and out the door!! T and I headed back to bed and tried to catch a few more winks before the 7:30AM alarm went off!! We got up and got C in the tub and I got lunches packed! T got the boys fed. They got themselves dressed and it was out the door for all of us!! Little man and Gman got on the bus and T and I piled in the van to take C to school!! Then we headed to Kmart to look for some winter gloves for the boys and ended up finding some and a new coat for Gman. Then we hit McDonald's for some breakfast! Then Wal Mart, Staples (where we bought a new printer) and then the auto store!! Then it was back to C's school to spy for a bit before it was time to get him. Once school ended we hit McDonald's (again) for our lunch date!! The weather was terrible!! So cold, so windy and it was like light snow showers the whole time!! 

Once back home T went out and shoveled the drive way. Came in and we put up my new shelf. Set up the new printer. Set up the old scanner and then T put a turkey in the oven for dinner!! The kids started coming home and T then started the rest of dinner - mashed potatoes and gravy!! Then after dinner we started some laundry. Got the boys showered and then put to bed! Then we cuddled in our bed and watched CSI. At about 9:30PM we got the call from the school - another 2 hour delay for Friday. Then it was time to turn off the TV and hit the hay!!!

Cold weather sucks!!

Ok, seriously this cold weather is getting ridiculous!!! At 8am, it's -9 degrees!!! NEGATIVE NINE!!! 

We had a two hour delay this morning and as much as I liked not getting up early I think I hate the kids hanging around "waiting" even worse!!! But we got the girls fed and lunches packed and out the door. Then the boys hung out fighting till I got them dresses, their lunches packed and them out the door at 10:30AM to catch the bus - we almost missed it because Gman and I were in the laundry room blowing a shit ton of snot out of his nose - I sweat to got it just kept coming and coming!!! I can't imagine where he was hiding it all!! C and I hung out all day just doing nothing and trying to stay warm!!! It was really a totally terrible winter day!!

Guess what

 we had a 2 hour delay today! At least we knew last night at about 7PM so we could turn the alarms off and not have to worry about getting up and then finding out! We didn't do much during the morning, I just tried to keep everyone for getting on mine and each other's nerves! Finally got everyone out the door by 10:30AM and then C and I headed out because we needed to go grocery shopping! We hit Michael's first, but I didn't find anything worth spending my GC on, I did buy him this little Furby finger puppet!! Then we hit Aldi's and by the time we were done there I was STARVING!!!! So we went to McDonald's and ate our little belly's full!! 

C was so hungry he ate every single bite of his happy meal - even the apples!!! Then we hit Wal Mart and finished up our shopping!! We headed home and I unloaded the van and got all the cold/frozen stuff put away!! Then we both vegged for the rest of the day!! It's still super cold out and I spent some time snuggling in my bed reading!! Thankfully S texted me at about 2:50PM and she was on the bus on the way home, her chorus practice was cancelled!! Thank goodness - one less trip out in the cold!! I started dinner a little before 5PM - spaghetti and meatballs - and then once we were done R started getting read for her concert! We left the house at about 6:40PM to head to the Jr High. Her band concert started at 7:30PM and we didn't get out of there till after 9PM!! When we walked outside it had been snowing the whole time!! We headed home and now it's time for BED!!!

OMG!!

What a cold cold day!!! The kids were off school today because our temperatures were below zero and way below zero with the wind blowing - like -34 degrees below zero!! It was a miserable day for everyone!! The kids did nothing but fight and scream and cry!! I worked on laundry all day and in between that cuddled in my bed and read!! Daddy had to be out in this miserable weather and spent all day in Greensburg because his store there had frozen pipes!! He came home at about 5PM and brought stuff to make dinner! The kids continued to fight all night and FINALLY at 7PM dad started showers and he throw everyone in bed at 8PM!!! I climbed back in my bed - which T had hooked up my heated blanket in and snuggled down!! I read for a while and then it was off to dream land for me!!!

Another Monday!!!

Got the 4 bigger kids off to school, it was cold and snowy but they still went - not even a two hour delay.

C and I just hung out all day - mostly in bed reading and playing video games. I could not get warm and it didn't help that as the day worn on it just kept getting colder and colder till finally at 5PM we were in single digits and by bedtime we were in negative digits!! Krista text me at about 3:30PM and said she had it on good authority that school was cancelled for tomorrow!! She was right because the boys bus drive told me the same thing when she dropped them off at 4PM and then I got the official call from the school district at 5:30PM!! It was so nice not to have to worry about showers - Hahaha!! I finally had to leave the house at 4:30PM to go pick S up from play practice, I had to hit the gas station first because I was beyond EMPTY!! We waited like 15 minutes in line!! Then once home I started dinner - sausage and egg sandwiches. Then I headed to my bed again - snuggled down and READ!!! Eventually C came in with me and fell asleep and then Gman did too!! Daddy had to go to Ohio today for some "special meeting" (where his regional announced that promotion) and he didn't get home till after 9PM!! He put the kids to bed and after getting something to eat came in the bed room with me and soon we were both in bed sleeping!!!

It's Sunday!!!

Let's see we got up and I'm kind of rocking a sickness.....cough and sore throat...great!!! So that blows balls!!! Also we woke up to like 18 degree weather, feeling like 4 degree!! Bleck!!! 

So after a quick breakfast we started cleaning!! We got the kitchen and living room done, like every nook and cranny!! I also worked on all the laundry I needed to catch up on and then after lunch we headed to the basement and cleaned every nook and cranny down there too!! It felt to good!!! Then I spent the rest of the afternoon working on my turkey's. I did have to run out and get more kraft paper and that was cool, a nice little break!! I was up till about 10PM working and still not done, but I have to go to bed because I have to leave the house early tomorrow, so it's off to bed with me and I'll finish these up tomorrow!!
