Kids had us up bright and early!

T was stuck cooking breakfast for everyone. Tiff and TJ dropped their kids off at like 10AM and left them there all day! Yes the boys had fun playing but I hate that my kids NEVER have any time with their grandparents with out those kids there!! I laid down stairs most of the day ignoring everyone, I hate being at my inlaws! We had left over meat/cheese for lunch. T had to clean their computer and set up their email and wireless blue ray player we got them. They ordered pizza for dinner and then we left - at about 5:30/6PM. The trip home was pretty uneventful and again we only stopped once!! We got home after 9PM and put everyone straight to bed, except Gman he needed a breathing treatment! Tim and I were so exhausted that we went straight to bed too!!

Up bright and early

on this first day of Christmas break, alarm went off at 6AM. We rushed around and got last minute things pack, gave the boys a breathing treatment and cereal for breakfast. Got everyone in the van and were pulling out at 7:25AM, 5 minutes ahead of schedule!! The trip to Ohio was good and all the kids were excellent. It rained like the whole way, but that's ok we still enjoyed listening to Christmas music!!

We only stopped once and it was going great until just outside of Boardman when T hit a big huge puddle of water!!! We immediately lost power steering and all the sudden the van was over heating!! The alarm was dinging so loud I was like "Pull over......Pull over"!!! He did and got under the hood and found that the belt on the tension pulley had slipped off!!! CRAP!!! We had zero tools in the van and wasn't sure if we should call AAA and have the van towed or what. So T called his dad and asked him to bring him some tools, but all he showed up with was some channel locks, WTH!!! So my awesome hubby basically fixed the van with an umbrella, a snow scraper and a pair of pliers!!! We sat there for almost an hour but everyone was so good!! T got the belt on and was covered in grease but we headed to my parents house still!! We got there and he washed up and changed clothes and my mom washed his dirty clothes for him!! Then we had lunch (lunch meat, cheese and salads) and the kids played and played and played!!! They had tons of fun!! We stayed until about 6PM and then headed to my inlaws, a move we would later come to regret!!! We got there and found out that everyone within the last day or two had been sick with the stomach flu - AWESOME!!! Assholes could have called us and told us before we showed up!! We ended up having lunchmeat and cheese for dinner too. Then they wanted to open presents! The kids got about 5 gifts each - not to over the top but half of the boys gifts were ones we'd already bought them from "Santa" so I guess I'll be taking those back! I got a blanket, soap and hand cream. Tim and I got $100 cash from his mom and dad and I got $25 bucks from Dale. We thought we'd have a nice night with just us and the inlaws, but NOPE!! Here same TJ with his 3 kids, god I hate that!! Why can't they just stay away for once and let my kids have some time with their grandparents with out having to fight for attention!! Then T put the kids to bed and we had to run out to Wal Mart to get an air mattress so I'd have something to sleep on. Then it was nighty night!

Still feeling yucky!!!

We were up for the day it was another long and miserable day!! 

Gman and I felt terrible, I just laid on the couch most of the day and Gman just laid around most of the day! The other kids did have fun playing with their cousins. We finally left around 3:30PM and headed for home!!! 

Shortly after we left C and Gman both fell asleep and slept till we got to the Pilot station (where daddy needed to stop to potty) and after that C was so fussy....crying and crying and crying!!! Ugh it was terrible!! We wanted to make it to town before we ate and it was tough, but we did and then we ate dinner at the Mickey's near Wal Mart. Then we headed into Wal Mart to look at the trees and get a humidifier for the boy's room! We wanted to head to Lowe's then but everyone was miserable so we just went straight home!! The 3 bigger kids emptied the van, daddy set up the humidifier and got the others ready for bed and I gave Gman a breathing treatment. Then it was off to bed for the kids. Daddy relaxed on the couch and I watched two Harry Potter movies before we fell into bed at midnight!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

My alarm went off at 6am and we all got up and started getting ready!! I took us an hour and 30 minutes to get us all ready, fed and the van loaded up! We headed out at 7:36AM. It was cold but the weather was good and there wasn't much traffic!! The kids were pretty whiny and I was pretty miserable but we finally made it to mom and dad's house at about 10:30AM. My brother Bret and his family showed up at about 11:30AM. My sister Melissa and her family showed up at 1PM. We spent the day eating and visiting. The kids played and played and played! I head my newest niece, Brylie a lot! Poor Gman (and I) got sicker and sicker! By the time we left (around 7ish) he was wheezing! We got to my in laws house and I gave both of us a breathing treatment and sent him to bed! I went shortly after! The night was crappy, Gman woke up about 3 times. My air mattress went flat twice before I finally just gave up and slept in the itty bitty recliner! Ugh it was a long night!!!
