Well hello Monday....we met again!

Boo!! I seriously did not want to get out of bed - it's still so cold and so snowy and all I want to do is snuggle in my bed!! But up I got and T got the girl's fed and I packed their lunches and then we both headed back to bed! But T couldn't sleep too long because he had to be out the door by 7:30AM for a doctor's appointment - so when my alarm went off at 7:30 it was just me and the boys!! I got them oatmeal for breakfast and then I just tried to keep them moving through the morning while I packed lunches! I got them on the bus and then I climbed back in my bed and read till I had to leave the house at 1! CJ was a good boy and watched TV, played and played his DS. Then after lunch we headed out to EP because I was helping with the book swap! It was so boring!! I think it's just cause I'm in a grumpy mood so the adults/teachers and the kids were getting on my nerves!! It was so hot in the room and my feet were hurting. CJ brought a DS that went dead in like 5 minutes so he whined the whole time. Finally we were done at 3:30PM and Jenn and I busted ass to get the books cleaned up and down to the library!! Then I headed to McDonald's for a frappe (cause boy I needed it)!!! Then it was home to help Gman with homework! He had to color a picture of his favorite food, he did his two weekly alpha sheets and then we did his sight word flash cards. Then I went in my room to read some more before making dinner - I had actually put a roast in the crockpot at noon so all I did was make some buttered noodles and some canned green beans! There wasn't much complaining - HOORAY!!! Then daddy came home about 6:30PM and we started getting kids showered as we sat in our room folding clothes!! We got EVERYONE in bed at 8PM and then I climbed in bed and read for a bit but I was whooped so it was soon off to dream land for me!!

Ugh, 6AM came early!

We got up and got all our usual stuff done and got the girls off to school. Then I headed back to bed and just laid there - I totally couldn't get back to sleep!! My 2nd alarm finally went off at 7:30AM and I was up and getting dressed since I had to leave the house by 8:25AM. I had to be at East Pike by 8:30AM to help paint faces. The boys came with my and I painted Gman's face first! Then from 8:30AM till 10AM I painted faces. I left to come home and then T left for work!! Soon after CJ and I headed out the door. We stopped at Dollar Tree, Michael's and Giant Eagle then it was off the Eat N Park for lunch! 

Once home I worked on my project life a bit and cleaned up my office. Then I made cupcakes (for Dutch's 43rd birthday) and at 4:30PM Laura and Alyssa came and picked up R - she was going to eat dinner with them, go to Battle of the Faculties and then spend the night!!! I put off dinner for the longest time 1. because I didn't want to make it and 2). because I didn't want to leave the house and spend money on it! I ended up making pizza bagels for Little man, S & me and PB&J for CJ and Gman! Then after dinner I went into my room and read. CJ came in and fell asleep at about 7:20PM. T got home from work at about 8PM - he was sick and in pain from a kidney stone. Little man and Gman were watching a movie and I put them to bed at about 8:30PM. Now I just peed and I'm headed to bed myself because I am beat!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Ugh, C is still really sick!!! He was up off and on all night and eventually ended up in our bed and I ended up sponging him down again for almost an hour before he fell back to sleep! Daddy and I were both so tired so I told him I'd get up with the girls and get their lunches packed and then he could rest with C and when I was done I'd come lay with C while he got up and made a quick breakfast for the girls! Then he came back to bed and we tried to catch a little more sleep before the other boys had us up!!! Once we got them all out the door I laid in bed with C almost all day, until it was time for me to leave - I gave him tylenol and advil and just tried to keep him comfortable! 

Daddy went into his Indiana store in the morning for just a bit, until he needed to be home at 1:30PM for me to leave and go to the elementary school for Gman's party. I was at the school from 1:45PM till 3:45PM and then I headed home! C was still sick, so I had S get the boys off the bus while I ran to Bilo to get raviolis for dinner and popsicles for C! I had S cook up dinner and then once I ate, I climbed back in bed with him and there we were all night! Daddy had to go to Altoona in the afternoon, but thankfully he wasn't to terrible late!!

So happy today is the last day of school before Christmas break!! It sure was a busy one for me though!! It started off the usual way with getting everyone fed and dressed and all lunches packed and everyone on the bus!!! Then C and I hung out for a bit while I cleaned the kitchen a bit...well straightened it up a bit. Then I painted the clothes pins I'm taking to Ohio with me and half the spools I'd need, I ran out so it was off to town we went! I got the van washed. 

I got whipping cream at Giant Eagle and Spools for JoAnn's and also C talked me into another new nutcraker - a piper this time!! Then it was home to finish painting the spools and getting lunch ready!! Then I got my roll baked and got the filling in it and stuck it in the fridge. Then I showered and quickly got the vinyl cut out and on the ornaments for the grandma's and aunts!!! Then C and I headed to the school to catch the end of the Christmas program and to pass out cookies & milk to all the students!

We helped with B wing and C even got to hang out with Gman in his class room and watch a little bit of the movie!! Then it was home to make my pecan pie bars and to help the kids finish wrapping their presents! Then it was time to get dinner ready - scrambled eggs and sausage. I had an egg sandwich and "REAL" sausage!!! Then I helped clean up the kitchen a bit. Then I finished up the ornaments. Got the kids settled watching their movie, Elf. Got the sauce made for their treat and then served them their Chocolate Peppermint Roll!! They devoured it and so did I!!! I started packing the suitcase. Got the boys their medicine and breathing treatments and then off to bed with them all!!! The girls wrapped the ornaments for me. I started some laundry and now daddy got home at 9PM and I am finishing up some last minute gathering while I type this and drink my mimosa!!! It's off to Ohio tomorrow bight and early!!!

hades!!!!

So not much happened today. It was so hot and so humid again!! C and I just lazed around all day, well I did, he did play some today!! I did get a call at about 2:30PM that they would be shutting off all electric to the High School, the Jr. High and the Elementary - all the schools my kids attend!!! WTH!! I mean it didn't really affect the girls because they get out at like 2:45 and they weren't shutting it off till 3PM, but the boys didn't get out till 3:45PM. Which means they were going to be sitting in the hot dark classroom for 45 minutes!! I didn't have to go out to pick anyone up so that was so nice!! Daddy got home semi early and he helped with showers/baths for the boys!! Then it was into our room where the air conditioning was running and it was heaven!!

First Day of School 2012-2013

Well another first day of school has rolled around again!!! I can't believe that S is a FRESHMAN!!! When the hell did that happen!?!?! She was up at like 5:30AM and was pretty much ready for school when her dad and I got up at 6AM!!! *lol* Hubby made everyone a egg scramble for breakfast with whatever they wanted in it!! S caught the bus at about 6:55AM. While the kids were eating and getting ready and were playing I was busy getting the dishes done, cleaning up the kitchen, cleaning the bathroom and getting laundry ready for washing!!! Then R and Little man caught the bus at about 8:35AM. Then daddy left for work!!!

Then I got the little boys and myself dressed and we went to the park to ride bikes/walk!! We walked for about 30 minutes and then I took them to Mickey's to get apple juice and a tea for me!! Since then we have just been hanging out!!! Me working on some CT stuff and them playing Wii, watching TV and playing outside!!! Now on to the photos!!! *lol*

So S will be home soon, in about an hour and then R & Little man in about 2 hours!! I have chocolate chocolate ship muffins waiting for them when they get home and I can't wait to hear how their first days of school went!!! Laters!!!

Nov 10: 30 Days of Thanks

Today I am so thankful for the good school district we live in! For the excellent teachers my kids are lucky to get year after year. I'm thankful that teachers care about my kids just as much as I do and realizing that even the kids who are above average still need one on one time with them and they gladly give it! Education is a priceless thing and I'm so thankful my kids are receiving a quantity one!!

So I had Little man's parent/teacher conference this morning and may I say I was seriously surprised!! I knew that he wasn't dumb.....I knew that he was "smart" but I was floored when I found out how smart that sweet little boy is!!! His teacher has ZERO concerns for him....if fact she did nothing but praise him!! This boy is the the top reader in his class....in fact he is the top reader out of all the first graders!!! My sweet little man (who hardly spoke a word until 3 years of age and didn't even go to preschool one day of his life) is reading at a high 3rd grade level.....like towards the end of 3rd grade!!! *blink* They use a "letter" scale for reading and most of the class is spread out between C thru G and the next closest reader to him is on the "I" level.....he is reading at the "N" level!!!!! It just makes my heart so happy for him....all his life I have worried that he was "quirky" and "peculiar" and to be quite honest.....just kind of average (if not a tad below average) and here he is proving me WRONG!!! I am so so proud of him!!! But now this momma must adjust his Christmas list because the books I was going to get him are no long "right" for him!!!! That also makes me so happy!!! I am so proud of you my sweet little man and momma loves you so much and I promise to never ever under estimate you again!!!!
