Got up today and took Christmas down!

I did the whole big tree by myself while T and S worked on all the knick knacks! Then once I'd drug the tree out on the front porch I swept all the hardwood floors and then vacuumed the rug! Then I took all the pine garland down from the hutch, the shelf and the kitchen window! Then I dusted everything and moved the black bookcase back. I emptied and dusted the bookcase in my office and then S and I moved it to the living room! 

T fed the kids lunch and then we showered and headed out to lunch at the Thai place! It was delicious! I had a yellow curry chicken fried rice! Then we headed to walmart and picked up a few essentials! Once back home T put the turkey in the oven and I put the prints I had gotten in the mail in my project life binder! Then A got dropped off by her dad for a sleep over at 5pm. 5:30pm rolled around and the turkey wasn't done so T ran out and picked up Papa John's pizza. We ate. The girls went down stairs, the boys whined and cried and I tried to read! Finally 8pm came and we put the boys to bed and T and I are now watching Under The Dome! I'm getting super tired though so I'm sure I'll he hitting the hay here very soon!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

The kids (boys) were up bright and early (I think like 5:30AM) but we made them stay in their room till about 7:15AM. Then we let them out and it was a free for all!!! The kids didn't have a ton of stuff but everyone loved everything they got, R's favorite gift was her kindle. The boys LOVED their dart guns and I'm not sure what Sydney's favorite was! Everyone, but me, is finally feeling well! No more puking or diarrhea but I'm still super nauseous!! The kids ate a ton of candy, but daddy did make me an egg sandwich and I did eat it, but it didn't make me feel any better. Eventually the kids did eat some cereal and then the rest of the morning was spent playing and setting things up and putting things together and more playing! Then in the early afternoon I was trying to clean up and nobody was helping and I was so so sick that I just lost it on daddy! Poor guy, but we ended up in a fight and I just went to my room and laid down and promptly fell asleep for 5 hours!!! The kids and daddy still had a good day and I eventually woke up, ate some ham and watched TV till about 10PM, when I then went back sleep.

Up bright and early

on this first day of Christmas break, alarm went off at 6AM. We rushed around and got last minute things pack, gave the boys a breathing treatment and cereal for breakfast. Got everyone in the van and were pulling out at 7:25AM, 5 minutes ahead of schedule!! The trip to Ohio was good and all the kids were excellent. It rained like the whole way, but that's ok we still enjoyed listening to Christmas music!!

We only stopped once and it was going great until just outside of Boardman when T hit a big huge puddle of water!!! We immediately lost power steering and all the sudden the van was over heating!! The alarm was dinging so loud I was like "Pull over......Pull over"!!! He did and got under the hood and found that the belt on the tension pulley had slipped off!!! CRAP!!! We had zero tools in the van and wasn't sure if we should call AAA and have the van towed or what. So T called his dad and asked him to bring him some tools, but all he showed up with was some channel locks, WTH!!! So my awesome hubby basically fixed the van with an umbrella, a snow scraper and a pair of pliers!!! We sat there for almost an hour but everyone was so good!! T got the belt on and was covered in grease but we headed to my parents house still!! We got there and he washed up and changed clothes and my mom washed his dirty clothes for him!! Then we had lunch (lunch meat, cheese and salads) and the kids played and played and played!!! They had tons of fun!! We stayed until about 6PM and then headed to my inlaws, a move we would later come to regret!!! We got there and found out that everyone within the last day or two had been sick with the stomach flu - AWESOME!!! Assholes could have called us and told us before we showed up!! We ended up having lunchmeat and cheese for dinner too. Then they wanted to open presents! The kids got about 5 gifts each - not to over the top but half of the boys gifts were ones we'd already bought them from "Santa" so I guess I'll be taking those back! I got a blanket, soap and hand cream. Tim and I got $100 cash from his mom and dad and I got $25 bucks from Dale. We thought we'd have a nice night with just us and the inlaws, but NOPE!! Here same TJ with his 3 kids, god I hate that!! Why can't they just stay away for once and let my kids have some time with their grandparents with out having to fight for attention!! Then T put the kids to bed and we had to run out to Wal Mart to get an air mattress so I'd have something to sleep on. Then it was nighty night!

Busy Busy Busy, but FUN day!!!

Today we got up, got dressed and had some yummy egg sammies that daddy made us! Then we all piled in the van and hit the road!! Today we headed over to Hermitage to take the kids to Kraynaks!! It was a long drive and it was crowded but the kids all got to pick awesome ornaments and I got to pick up a ton of new ornaments myself!!! We were there about 2 hours and then we left and headed to Applebee's for lunch!! It was crowded and we waited forever for our food, but it was good food so that was OK!!! Then we all piled back into the van and headed home!! The ride home wasn't as bad and we seemed to make it quicker so that was awesome!!! Then we hit Wal Mart before we headed home to pick up a few things for dinner!! Then the rest of the day was spent with the kids playing a new Wii game that daddy stopped and picked up for them at the Indiana store!!! I scrapped some and daddy worked on laundry!!! I am so freaking wiped so as soon as I hit publish on this I am headed to my bed, so sad that it's like 7:30PM!!! Hahahaha, I'm such an old lady!!! But that's what a busy day does to me!! I'm gonna leave you with a few photos from Applebee's, I have a ton on my big camera, but I haven't got them off yet!!!

2012 Tree hunting!!

So today was our day to go pick out our Christmas tree!! It was extra special because my nephews were staying with us and they were going to get to experience something they never have before (and might never...who know!!). It was almost the perfect weather: cold with just a hit of snow flurries!!! We dressed everyone up warm and headed out!! We got the Fleming's and had to turn right back around and go home because we forgot G-man's coat!!! *lol* So we headed home, got the coat and headed back!! We took a few photos while hubby went inside to get a map and buy the wagon ride tickets. It was kind of busy so we had to wait for the wagon ride but the kids were all good and were just playing and running around a bit (but not wildly!!).  Then it was time for our wagon ride and we piled in!! Once up in the fields we head off to find that perfect tree!!! It was kind of tough because G was running off and my nephews would follow him so we would have like 5 boys running 5 different ways!!! But we finally reined everyone in and found the perfect tree. A man who works there came and cut it down for us and I got some photo taken of everyone standing around it!! Then it was time to head back down but the wagon wasn't there and the crowd was getting bigger and bigger that wanted to ride it and it was FREEZING.....the wind was blowing really hard at the top of the hill with no protection from the trees so we just decided to walk back!!! *lol* It was actually really easy and no one really complained so it was fine!! Then it was home for lunch and hot chocolate!!!

Another awesome memory for the books!! Bring on the Christmas season!!! ~Laters!

Christmas is in da house!!

We were up early, had breakfast and were out the door just after 9AM on our ways to pick out our Christmas Tree!!! It took us all day but we have it up and decorated!!! The house is only half done, but that's ok......it the tree that really matters!!! Here she is in all her glory!!! :wub:



Maybe I'll get some of the "finding the tree" pics up tomorrow!!!
