Sunday Funday!

Today was not a sleep in day, for some reason I was woke up at 7:20AM and couldn't get back to sleep!! So I eventually got up and gave the kids cereal for breakfast! Then I started packing our lunched because we were going to the zoo!! The kids all got dressed while I did this and then one I was all packed I changed real quick and we headed out! We first got a car wash because my van was sooooooooooooo dirty. Then we got water at Sheetz and then I made sure all my tires were inflated correctly! Then it was off to Pittsburgh!! The weather was cool, but the sun was shining and it was beautiful!! 

The zoo was hardly busy and we had such a great time!! We saw the baby tiger. The mommy and baby rhino. Both lions were sunning themselves and all but one elephant was out in the yard. We even watched the 2 little baby ones "trunk wrestle"!!! The big giraffe was real close to the fence and was watching all the people so that was neat! Then we had out packed lunch and then headed out to see the rest of the animals! We saw all the fish in the aquarium and the penguins too, but not the polar bears, they were working on their tanks so they weren't out! We watched the sea otter play, he was tapping the glass with a rock and was swimming and turning flips/circles, it was so funny! I even got a little video of it!!! Then we went through the kid's kingdom and when we went in the snake building mommy crawled though the tunnels of the meerkats exhibit and got some really great shots of them!! CJ and I even got to take a selfie with one of them!! Hahaha!!! Then it was time to head to the van and head home! Everyone was hungry so we stopped at Target and got some Pringles and then got back on the road! We got home about 4:30PM. I made chicken soup and toasted cheese for dinner and then the boys went outside to play! I messed around in my office a bit and finally daddy got home at 7PM!!! We were all excited!!! Then it was showers and then bed at 8PM!! I went soon after because my whole body ached and I was exhausted!

Happy Zoo Boo day!!

Phew, what a day!! First it started for me at 3AM when I could have swore I heard someone trying to break into the house!! I walked all over the upstairs and did see anything or hear anything so I have no idea what it was!!! I went back to my bed and thought I'd sit up and worry but I kept nodding off and finally at 4AM I figured it someone was getting in they would have gotten in already so I snuggled down to sleep!! I think the boys got up around 6:30AM and I tried to sleep for 30 more minutes but I don't think it worked!!! So I got up and got them cereal and hot chocolate while I started getting everything ready to go for the zoo!!! I worked almost non stop till we left at 8:30AM and I was already pooped!!! But we got on the road and headed out!!! We got to the zoo at about 10AM and sat in the car for a bit to have a snack and get everyone's costumes on!! Then we headed into the zoo and had a half hour to kill before Zoo Boo started at 11AM. We hung out in the gift shops and then went and got in line for the "haunted House"!!! We spent the day collecting candy and seeing the animals!!! They were all almost out and most were even active!!! All the kids were really really good and I was so happy with them!!! We were at the zoo till 3PM!!! I think that is the longest we have ever spent there!!! Then we headed home and I was so happy!! I was exhausted and my feet were killing me!!!  Once home I ran out to Bilo to get a frozen pizza and some snacks for this weeks lunches because honestly I just didn't have it in me to make anything!! I am beat.....in fact I think Callum and I are going to skip the library tomorrow too and just stay at home with out feet up!!! I need a break!!! While we were at the zoo Daddy made it to Mexico all safe and sound!!! We have already facetime with him like twice!!! Hahaha!!! We all miss him so much!! In fact I'm gonna go read and try and stay up till 11PM so I can facetime with him again!! I'm off to hit the hay....6am is gonna come mighty early in this house!!!

Zoo Boo 2012

Finally a week later I'm sharing our day at the zoo for trick or treating!  We got up at a decent hour but then hubby ticked me off or something...I think because the kids were whining and he wouldn't get out of bed!! So because of that I was pissy all morning and therefore we got a late start because I wouldn't help. So we left here at I think 11AM and it was fine until we got to the zoo exit which is only about 3 miles from the actual zoo!! It was bumper to bumper and we sat in traffic for about 1 hour and 45 minutes!!! Ugh it was freaking horrible!!! Believe it or not the only one that didn't complain on bit was Little C!!! *lol* Everyone else bitched and moaned to high heavens!!! *lol*

Once we parked it was fine...we did have to park in BFE, but we didn't have to wait in line to get in and we got right up the escalators!! We had a quick potty break and then it was trick or treating time!!

We had a great trip through the zoo and it wasn't too crowded!! The kids got just enough candy ( and ate all of it right after it was stuck in their bag *lol*) to keep them happy. Then it was time to go and we thought that it was going to be a repeat of the morning but it wasn't, we had to wait just a bit in the parking lot but that was it...we got on the highway and were on our way home!! We drove for a bit and then stopped at Mickey's for dinner!!!  Another awesome Halloween at the zoo!!!

Phew...finally caught up!!! *lol* Now on today, it was such a lazy wonderful Sunday!!! I didn't do much but sit around and scrap!!! I think I scrapped 3 or 4 pages...of course none of them can be shared until DSD!!! Other then that I did nothing and it was totally glorious!!! But it will be back to the grind!!! ~Laters!!!
