Last day (well for this week) of momma flying solo!

Daddy comes home today! So I was up just before 6 and got the girl's lunches packed and then headed back to bed! I tossed and turned forever and then finally just got up at about 7:20AM. I just had to get the boys fed and Little man ready for school - Gman was off because the local preschools were coming in today. So I got him out the door at 8:30AM and then talked with daddy on the phone for a few minutes - he was already on his was to Lower Burrell (where he had to work for a few days). 

Then I headed downstairs to exercise. Once done I hustled the boys out the door and we made a few stops before heading to McDonald's for lunch. Then it was off to KCAC where we watched the fire department give one of the circus elephants a bath!! It was raining on us but we didn't care it was so fun and neat! Then we came home and messed around! The girls came home and then at about 3:30PM - DADDY pulled it!!! Hooray!!! We were all so excited because we missed him so much!!! Then Little man came home and he was very upset! A boy (a very not nice boy) in his class was super mean to him and pinched/grabbed him in the private area. I was IRATE!!! His teacher emailed me and then we talked on the phone for a bit and she let me know that she was going to pursue this further! 

Then daddy took us out to dinner to Dingbats and then we hit Wal Mart for a few things for lunches the next day! Then it was home and straight to bed for the boys! Then daddy went out and fix the air in my van and then it was time for bed!!!

Today was such a waste of a beautiful day!!!

The kid's had no school today because the teachers had an in-service day and daddy took the day off work, but he was gone most of the morning getting blood work done and then when he got home he didn't want to do anything! So we spent the whole day doing nothing but laying around and watching TV or reading! It was beautiful out - 50's and sunny! I had mentioned earlier in the week about maybe going to the zoo but I was ignored so I didn't even bring it up again! It would have been the perfect day! T did go out and get the kids Papa John's for lunch (and bread sticks for me) and Thai for himself. Then he went out after "dinner" and got us whoppers, but man I really wish we would have done something productive today! I finished reading Mockingjay and was in bed by like 9PM, I was beat - being lazy is tiresome!!

No school today for the kiddos!!!

It's president's day but that's not why we don't have school - it's parent/teacher conference day and for the first time in my kid's school history I opted out of doing conferences today!!! But that didn't mean I got to sleep in, C is still like seriously sick and it was time for to take him to the doctors!!! So I loaded him and Gman in the van and headed out the door - man was it freaking COLD!!! Like -7!!!

So we got there and got right in to see the nurse practitioner (I think) and the gave C a strep test and a flu test - man he did not like the flu test (swab up the nose), he cried and cried and cried!!! One good thing is that his lungs are CLEAR!!! So we had to wait around a bit for the tests to come back - the strep test was negative and the flu test was POSITIVE!!! So we just have to ride it out and lots of liquids and lots of rest!! After the doctors we ran to Wal Mart real quick to get some more supplies and then we headed home, C and I literally spent the rest of the whole day in bed!!! S (bless her heart) made lunch and dinner for the rest of the kids! Daddy got home at about 7:30PM and we got the boys showered and then he got them into bed! I read for a while and then it was off to dream land for me - I was not feeling like 100%!!!

Snow Day!

Today started out with the phone ringing at 5:30AM when the school's automated system called us to tell us school was closed, well T didn't make it to the phone on time so it they called back 10 minutes later!! Hahaha!! We kind of figured it was coming because we had a storm during the night: ice and snow!! Boo!! So we all got to laze in bed this morning and just relax. The boys had cereal for breakfast. I had frozen waffles and daddy got up and "shoveled" the drive way (he used the snow blower) but it was slow going because the snow was so wet and heavy that it kept clogging the pipe and he had to keep stopping and clear it out!! Hahaha!! He finally got done and got ready for work and left! I finally woke the girls up at 10AM and told them they had like 5 minutes to eat breakfast!! Then the rest of the day I spent cleaning my office.

Cutting box tops. Cleaning out my email. Cleaning up my download folder in ACDSee. I had S clean the living room and I also worked on laundry off and on all day! I had to wash C's sheets because we have decided to try and night train him - we started that about 2 nights ago, tonight is the 3rd night. The first night he woke himself up and we took him pee so he was dry that morning but the 2nd night he fell asleep early and when we tried to get him to go pee he wailed! So I just put him to bed and then when we went to bed we tried to get him up again and again he wailed so I decided I'd rather wash sheets then listen to him cry, well he woke up wet this morning and then I remembered how much I hated washing and changing sheets!!! Hahaha!! Then I also washed Little man and Gman's clothes. The kids were mostly good - the boys of course fought but that's nothing new!! I made bacon scrambled eggs for dinner and everyone had a toasted peanut butter bagel. Then after dinner I finished cutting out the rest of the kid's valentines stuff and then started gluing bags together! At 6:30PM I started getting the boys showered and bathed and as 8PM rolled around I got them in bed - which went pretty smoothly! Then back in my office to finish gluing - I got all of Gman's owl bags glued so I can finishes them up tomorrow!!

Daddy came home about 9:15PM and brought me a meatball sub from Sheetz!! Now I'm done writing this and I'm gonna hit the hay!! It's been a long day!!!

Snow day!!!

It was so nice just laying around this morning and not rushing!! I think I was in bed till like 8:30AM! I figured it would be another lazy day but that changed real quick when the kids started fighting!! So I called them all up stairs and we started to CLEAN!!! We cleaned the living room - I even dusted. The girls wiped down all the walls & cabinets in the kitchen. Then they wiped down the hall walls and the basement stairwell walls and cleaned the mud room. The 3 boys and I cleaned their room and S mopped the kitchen floor for me! It was so nice once it was all done!! Then I worked on laundry all day and worked on sorting some photos of S. The kids were hit and miss with the fighting!! Seemed like Little man would cause problems with both little boys! I made cowboy casserole for dinner and then it was time to get showers done. We got a call from the school district at about 7:30PM - 2 hour delay for tomorrow! Then at 8PM I put everyone to bed!! T got home at about 8:30ish or 9PM and I laid in my bed and read till I just couldn't keep my eyes open any more!!!

No school......

today since it was Martin Luther King jr's birthday!! But there was no sleeping in for us, I needed to get Gman and C to the doctors for their snotty noses and coughs!! So I gave them a quick breakfast of cereal, grabbed a shower and we were out the door by 8:35AM!!! Got the doctors and they were BUSY!!! 

We had to wait probably like 30 minutes to get into and room and once we were in the room we saw a student PA and then we waited and saw the regular PA. Both boys have nasal congestion/infections and cough. Gman also had some wheezing. Since they can't seem to kick this "whatever", Katie put them on a stronger med and for longer - 14 days!! Plus Gman needs the nebulizer for a while!! So it was like 10:30PM by the time we got out of there (we got there at 9AM) so I took the boys over to mickey's for fries and chocolate milk. I got fries and a chocolate covered strawberry frappe and it was DELICIOUS!!! Then we headed back to town and went to Giant Eagle to get their meds and then home, it was like 11:45AM - almost time for lunch!! The rest of the day was spent doing nothing!! Daddy got home really early - like 3PM and we vegged in our room watching CSI!! He decided we needed to head out for dinner so we went to Mickey's! Then by the time we got home it was time for showers and baths and to get the kids in bed!!! 

OMG!!

What a cold cold day!!! The kids were off school today because our temperatures were below zero and way below zero with the wind blowing - like -34 degrees below zero!! It was a miserable day for everyone!! The kids did nothing but fight and scream and cry!! I worked on laundry all day and in between that cuddled in my bed and read!! Daddy had to be out in this miserable weather and spent all day in Greensburg because his store there had frozen pipes!! He came home at about 5PM and brought stuff to make dinner! The kids continued to fight all night and FINALLY at 7PM dad started showers and he throw everyone in bed at 8PM!!! I climbed back in my bed - which T had hooked up my heated blanket in and snuggled down!! I read for a while and then it was off to dream land for me!!!

Monday, again!?!?!?

So I laid in bed forever this morning!! It was so nice and so relaxing!! T had to go to work, but the kids and I stayed home and vegged all day!! I worked almost the whole day on my Christmas album. The kids played video games. Watched TV and played. They were all kind of whiny and bitchy though - especially C!!

Whiny C!!!

Daddy didn't get home till late because the roads between S and home were so bad! It snowed a little here but nothing big! We were in bed by like 9:30PM and I was out like a light!!!

Finally, I'm finally feeling better today!!

No more stomach pains, no more nausea and I was able to eat and drink all day long!!! Thank jesus!!! Well it was back to work for daddy today, we were all so sad to see him go!! I started the morning right off with getting my laundry going! I worked on it all day and got all the boy's done, mine done, the whites done and one load of towels! I also got all my Christmas photos edited, uploaded and printed at Wal Mart! I got almost caught up on all my Project life digital scrapping and I got my blog all up to date too!!! The kids played all day! Them making messes and we trying to keep up with cleaning them up or making them clean them up! They did fight for a while and it was driving me nuts - I hate fighting just to fight!!! They played with their nerf guns and their remote control cars - which C promptly broke every single one of the antennas! Ugh!!! I made a quick and easy dinner of mac & cheese, nuggets and fries! Then it was just a battle to control the animals as I waited for bed time! I got the boys to brush their teeth and had them in bed by 8PM!!! They went right to sleep!! Daddy came strolling in at 9:10PM and then when the girls came to see him I sent them right to bed!!! Now he just took a shower and is in the kitchen rummaging for something to eat. I'm writing and as soon as I hit publish I think we are gonna hit the bed, watch a bit of TV and then drift off to dream land!!!

Last day of Thanksgiving Break!!

Daddy was feeling poorly today so he played hooky from work today!! Hooray, we love having daddy home with us!!! The kids were good all day - watching TV or playing video games!! We worked on our craft all day today - Rudolph bulb ornament - They turned out so cute!! I worked on some laundry, it was piling up form last week!! It was a great way end to our vacation!!

Totes boring!!

Not much went on during this second day of vacation!! Lots of TV watching and vegging and fighting among the kids!! To cold to go out and play.

No school today for the kids,

which meant no early morning for me, HOORAY!!! In fact everyone had today off, even daddy, he took a personal day because it's our 16th weeding anniversary!! But we couldn't laze around too long because daddy had to drop his car off at Buggy's at 8AM and we had parent teacher conferences starting at 9:20AM.  We saw L's teach, Mrs. H first and she told us how awesome L is doing!! He is smart, kind, helpful and very polite!!! Everyone wants to be Little man's friend!!! He is one of the top students in his class and is just doing OUTSTANDING!!! Then we saw Gman's teacher, Mrs. R and she said all the same things about Gman!! He is smart, kind, helpful and very polite!!! And everyone wants to be his friend!! He is struggling just a bit with his letters (only about 5 of them) and he is struggling a bit with anxiety, but she says she sees that a lot in kindergartners and it's nothing to be too overly concerned about, he will grow and mature in time!! After we were done daddy and I ran and got tons of movies to watch and to Dunkin Donuts to get the kids some treats!! Then we came home and watched movies all day!! It was a great relaxing day!!! So happy to have lived these last 16 years with my baby and I can't wait to see what the next 16 bring us!!!

Last day

of our mini vacation from school!! Got up and made a bunch of snacks for the week, rice crispy bars, granola bars and energy bites. Then took C and G to the library for story time!! We learned about the letters V and W. They loved doing the craft!!!

Then we came home and had lunch. The rest of the day was spent just lazing around!! The kids were actually very good and played well together!!! I don't think there was hardly any fighting (if any). I made hot dogs and fries for dinner and then daddy got home in time to help with baths and put the rats to bed!!!

What a day!!!

The kids had today off for teacher in service day but it was not a relaxing day!!! First off I couldn't sleep in - damn you 6AM!!! I was up early but then I did laze in bed for awhile, but I would have loved to sleep!!! Then I worked on laundry all day long!!! I swear I did like 5 loads!!! It was BS!!! I made like 4 dozen pumpkin muffins. But the worst part was the kids were hellions!!! Ugh, I swear they bitched and moaned and whined and fought all freaking day long!!! At one point I made all 5 of them get in bed!!! I just wanted to cry!!! I had to have S to the high school by 5:30PM for a football game and then the kids and I came home and I made pizza and then I went in my room to hide and wait for daddy!!! Thank goodness he left work a little early and when he got home I crawled in bed and was shortly fast asleep!! I was just done - so worn out and so frazzled!!! I didn't have anything left for anybody!!!
